Hi, my name is Garry, I’ve been painting for most of my life,  I have never had any formal training but I have loved sketching and painting from my early childhood, there were a lot of fails along the way,  along with some success. In the early days it started off purely as a fun thing to do but quickly turned into almost an obsession, I have been very lucky to have traveled the world when I was working with an Australian Based International Airline, I got a lot of my inspirations from being in some of the most beautiful settings in the world like The Greek Islands, Tahiti, Honolulu, Italy, Paris, Germany etc.  But also being able to visit many of the worlds finest Museums and Art Galleries. It was an exciting time growing up in the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s. During this time I was very deeply immersed in the music scene and played in several bands in Melbourne, Sydney and Airley Beach Qld. I also started up my own Screen printing/Signwriting business in the early 70’s which I ran for around 2 years before joining the Airline in the Late 70’s and spent the next 20 years travelling the world as an International Flight Attendant. I now live in Bairnsdale Victoria where I spend most of my time Coaching the East Gippsland Waterdragons Swim Team and with the remaining time I have left I spend painting Commissions of Wildlife, Pet Portraits, Portraits and Landscapes etc. I’ve been very blessed through my life and never take it for granted.
