About Me

Thank you for your time, My name is Garry Cole, I guess I started painting in my early teens, just sketching, pen and ink etc. had no idea how to paint until my mid 20’s when I saw and add for lessons in colour mixing, I enrolled and did about 15 classes that changed my life forever. When I showed the instructor the picture of “The Soldier” by Rembrandt that I wanted to copy he laughed and said I was  being a bit too ambitious and maybe should start with something simpler, but I was adamant and stuck to my guns and this is the result.

I’ve been very fortunate in my life, and have had some amazing opportunities bestowed upon me, I travelled the world for 20 years while working with Australia’s No 1 International Airline, and got to see some amazing Countries,  Cultures and places like the Louvre, The British Museum and Art Gallery, Galleries in Rome, Germany, Greece, USA, Canada, it was an amazing time in my life. I’m now in my mid 70’s, still working, still painting and I now live in a regional town of Victoria, Australia
